Welcome to the Australian Industry Group International Student Industry Engagement Program — a unique initiative designed to strengthen connections between Australian businesses and international students from mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan who are currently studying in Australia.
This program offers a dynamic blend of practical learning, cultural exchange, business networking, and industry visits - creating meaningful opportunities for mutual understanding and collaboration.
Through these experiences, we aim to cultivate lasting relationships and deepen ties between Australia and the dynamic regions of mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
Through the program, we aim to:
Eligible international students will have the opportunity to take part in industry visits and tours across capital cities and regional centres in Australia.
They may be offered short-term internships and placements with prospective Australian host organisations.
Regular networking events will connect students with Australian business leaders, industry experts and alumni.
Alumni Network Students become part of a growing community of program alumni, fostering ongoing collaboration and access to work and internship opportunities with Australian businesses.
A series of online events and in-person workshops around the country will cover topics such as:
Australian business and workplace environment
First Nations culture, diversity and multiculturalism
industry-specific insights and
sustainability.
Students receive a Statement of Attendance for each completed activity. This is a valuable proof of industry engagement and professional development. These certificates enhance resumes and LinkedIn value, support internship and job applications, and show employers you're ready for the workplace.
This resource hub is designed to support you throughout the program. It includes video recordings of past webinars, workshop training materials, and practical resources to help you learn about Australian workplaces, build professional skills, and connect with industry.

This industry visit will provide students with practical insights into how Australian businesses create, market, export and deliver products to domestic and international markets. Through industry site visits, business briefings and networking opportunities, participants will gain a deeper understanding of Australia's agribusiness, food manufacturing, tourism and export sectors.
